Prysiazhniuk: livestock is of major priority

Livestock sector in Ukraine is one of the main priorities of agricultural development. This was announced by Agrarian Policy Minister Mykola Prysiazhnyuk during the round table discussion on the selection-breeding work in animal husbandry, held at Agricultural Policy.
According to M. Prisyazhniuka to get modern and competitive livestock it is crucial develop a new and efficient program of industry development that will define clear and specific tasks for every year.
The meeting noted the expediency of amending the Law of Ukraine "About livestock breeding" because the law standards were formed almost 10 years ago, and now it has become imperative to make appropriate changes to it. Primarily, it concerns control and management systems in livestock breeding, and some elements of breeding work.
