Dynamics of live weight pig prices in Ukraine: different directions

The period of falling prices for hogs live weight has been going on for 6 weeks in a raw.
Over last week prices for slaughter pigs of second category have decreased on average by 1.7% - to 12.40 UAH. / kg.
Prices for pigs of meat type on the contrary showed an increase of about 2% to UAH 14.30./ kg.

Since the demand for pork did not improve before Easter hog producers predict the situation will not change much during May holidays and the prices for slaughter pigs will probably remain the same.
