Russia re-inspects Ukrainian meat and milk enterprises

The Russian Federation will re-inspect Ukrainian meat and milk enterprises in the first half of 2010.

Such an agreement was reached during the sixth meeting of the Committee on economic cooperation of Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission (Sochi).

In the meeting Russian and Ukrainian Agrarian Ministries reached agreement to resume the inspection of Ukrainian meat and dairy enterprises in the first half of 2010; to prepare the draft of the agreement between Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in plant quarantine for its signing in 2010.

The parties also agreed to continue working in seed field; promote Russian companies on the issue of investment in the infrastructure of the grain market of Ukraine; to start the development and coordination of forecasting supply and demand balances for the main types of agricultural products, including mutual supply volume; on the basis of joint supply and demand balances for basic types of agricultural products to consider in November 2010 the possibility of beet sugar supply on the territory of the Russian Federation in 2011.
