Ukraine drastically reduced the import of meat

The Department of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine states: the import of meat to Ukraine in the first quarter decreased by 40%. According to the authorities, the reducing of imports is due to increased control by the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine. This eliminated the import of low-quality products, or III - IV class meat, which were imported at low prices. Though increasing of meat prices will hardly happen because of the rising volume of domestic poultry and pork production.
