According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, for the first half of 2010 processing plants got 673,000 tons of cattle and poultry live weight (by 30.2% higher than for the first half of 2009) and 2,332,000 tons of milk (by 3.3% less).In particular, from all categories of agricultural producers 233,000 tons of livestock and poultry were purchased (by 20.3% more than last year) and 2,309,000 tons of milk (by 2.4% less). In addition, processors used 437,000 tons of actually grown livestock and poultry (by 36% more) for processing.
