According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine since the beginning of August 2010 the purchase prices for hogs rose by 7%

Purchasing prices for pigs of I and II categories have increased by 7% to UAH 14,125 per ton.

Compared to last year the average price of cattle has increased by 11%, for pigs - fell by 14%.

Since the beginning of the month first class milk became more expensive to purchase – by 11% to UAH 2,964 per ton. The rise in prices compared to 2009 is 57%.

Minimum and maximum prices are fixed accordingly: for young cattle at UAH 9,750 per ton and UAH 15,000 per ton, pigs of I, II category – at UAH 12,044 per ton and UAH 16,500 per ton, first class milk – UAH 2,500 and 3,570 per ton.
