Ukrainian pork rises in price

In May the average price for pigs of the first and second category including subsidies was 13,857UAH/ ton. The price rose up by 4% during the month as well as during the year. The lowest price for pigs was in Ivano-Frankivsk region (11,000 UAH/ton), while the highest price was in Kyiv region (16,480 UAH/ton).
Wholesale price for pigs of the second category increased by 1% during the month, and decreased by 2% during the year. As of the 10th of June the average price for pork was 26.91 UAH/kg, the highest price was in Ternopil region (34.25 UAH/kg), while the lowest price was in Sumy region (23 UAH per kg).
Retail price for pigs of the second category decreased by 1% during last month, and decreased by 2% during the year. The price is 39.32UAH/kg.
