Pig imports from Lithuania banned

Ukraine has forbidden the import of pigs and swine products from Lithuania. This is stated in the decision of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine, the press office of the Service reported.

"Imports from that country of other goods controlled by the service of veterinary medicine are carried out in accordance with veterinary requirements concerning import into Ukraine of the objects of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision," the document says.

According to the official report of the International Office of Epizootics, pigs plague was registered in the territory of Lithuania.
