Live pigs price dynamics

After quite a long lasting period of pork price increase the price has started to decrease up to the previous level. The situation with prices becomes more stable on pig market after summer leap in prices. As to the comments of meat processing companies the market is well balanced and no serious changes are expected. The prices for bacon type pigs decreased by 3.2% (0.6 UAH/kg) up to 17.75UAH/kg in October. The prices for meat type pigs decreased by 8.2%(1.7UAH/kg) up to 18.9UAH/kg. The prices for meat type pigs in the enterprises which are members of Ukrainian Pig Producers Association also decreased by 7.7% (1.6UAH/kg ) up to 19.3UAH/kg.

From the 11th of October till the 25th of October the prices for bacon type pigs decreased by 1.4% (0.2UAH/kg) up to 16.65UAH/kg. The prices for meat type pigs decreased by 0.9% (0.15UAH/kg) up to 17.85UAH/kg. The prices for meat type pigs in the enterprises which are members of Ukrainian Pig Producers Association decreased by 8.7% (1.77UAH/kg ) up to 18.5UAH/kg.
