FAO & EBRD support government’s attempts to deregulate the markets of milk and meat

Within the strategy of deregulation of domestic market, working group with the representatives of dairy producers and milk processing enterprises was held under the chairmanship of Andriy Dykun, Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food.

The parties signed a Memorandum of agreement about coordinated action for stabilization of pricing on the dairy market. Besides, under support of FAO, new project «Balance of Milk in Ukraine» will be launched that allows producers and processing enterprises to understand demand and supply on the dairy market in order to control pricing.

Meeting with the exporters/importers of Ukrainian pork and beef initiated deciding the contradictory issues of meat market. Joint agreement was reached that will allow increasing demand on pork production of Ukrainian selection owing to the adjusted export to Third World countries.
