Live pigs market: price decrease continues

When the last week live pigs of the first category were sold by 26-28 UAH/kg, so this one the upper and lower range limits will decrease by at least one hryvnia. Factors that «knock» the price down is low consumer activity, and inability supply to Russia, because of ruble devaluation. Substantial sums of receivable debts from supermarkets amp up the tension on processers and it notably slows production cycle.
Thus, in the penultimate week of the year the lowest prices — 25.2 UAH/kg — will be in the East. Maximum price (in the West and Central regions) will be 27 UAH per kilo of live weight pork.
