Live pigs market: waiting for improvement

During the seventh week, prices in the center and the east of the country turned out to be relatively stable. In these regions pig producers took holds in the planned range and don’t map out to change it. Only pig producers in western regions felt the positive dynamics. Local planned prices on live pigs on the eighth week are 21.5-25.5 UAH/kg.
The processers also mention the stabilization of situation. Many of them tried to make concessions and didn’t reduce prices, although their floor, starting January, came down to the mark of 20 UAH/ per kilo of live weight in places. However they also have challenges. Surely some market players have relatively stable purchase amounts and sale, but there are ones, which earnings in brand-name trade decreased twice.
