Ukraine: pork import decreased 8-fold

According to the State Fiscal Service, in 2015 Ukraine imported almost 27.17 thousand tons of pork. It’s three-fold more the year earlier. Export of this production cost $54.68 mln ($26.33 mln in 2014).
However, pork import dropped by 8.4 times, to 3.69 thousand tons. The value of export cost $8.05 mln vs. $81 mln in 2014.
As is reported with reference to customs statistics pork export in 2014 increased 2-fold, to 9.4 thous. tons, import decreased almost 5-fold, to 30.8 thous. tons year on year.
