Ukraine: pig livestock decreased by 4% in January

In January 2016 the pig livestock decreased by 3.7% or 270.3 thousand heads (in comparison with January 2015). It totaled 7042.7 thousand heads, excluding Crimea and Sevastopil city.
Office of national statistics reported about it.
The number of pigs declined in backyard farms as well as in commercial enterprises — −7.5% (262 800 heads) and −0.2% (7 500 heads), correspondingly.
