Live pigs market: holiday is coming — prices grow

During 16th week (18-22.04) live pigs price averaged 30.4 UAH/kg whereas on pre-Easter week it is likely to overlap 32 UAH/kg.
Producers from central part of Ukraine indicated quite lively demand, so expect the price to vary within 31 and 33 UAH per kg. However, pig producers from East of Ukraine anticipate to get 32-32.7 UAH for kilo (live weight). Bidding in Western Ukraine was rather fraught as negotiations dragged on through Saturday. Thus producers preliminary announced lower price range — 31,5-32 UAH/kg LWE.
