Live pigs prices come down

Prices on pigs LWE has gone down after May Days and picnics of «national importance». So, during the week before 9 May prices almost hold the level achieved (32.1 UAH/kg). But the second decade of the month begins with lower quotations.
The result of tense negotiations was that pig producers have had to reduce the price by 0.25-1.0 UAH/kg. That’s why the average point of week 19 can go down by 1% minimum. After long-term holidays the lower price range has caved in to 30.5 UAH/kg, and the higher — to 32.5 UAH/kg.
Western and Eastern pig producers and buyers have had a difficult agreement on a price: the auction continued till Saturday. In central region pig breeders has contacted pigs by 32-32.5 UAH/kg. Price level of 31-31.5 UAH/kg is expected in the Eastern part of the country, and the widest range — on the West (30.5-32 UAH per kg LWE).
