Live pigs prices: how is it getting along after holidays?

Holidays have ended, demand has weakened, and that’s why the downward dynamics on live pigs market became more notable. Last week the average price point has come down to 31.7 UAH/kg, because pork producers have to yield by 0.25-1.0 UAH/kg, as a result of tense negotiations. Due to Friday’s talks, the price of week 20 has declined by 4-9%, compared with its previous level.
So on the week 20 producers from Western regions expect the lowest live pigs’ price. Expected prices in the Center of the country have slide to 29-30.5 UAH/kg, on the East pig farmers look for 29 UAH/kg per kilo LWE and on the West planned price is about 28.5-29.5 UAH/kg.
