Dynamics of prices for concentrated feed
30.09.2011
Prices for concentrated feed in September decreased significantly. First of all it is connected with the collection of new crop and increase in the volume of incoming raw materials for oil extraction plant processing. Accordingly, the offer of meal and cake at the domestic market increased and prices decreased.
Good crops of sunflower and favorable weather conditions resulted in price reduction for sunflower meal and cake to the level of the same period last year. Prices for soybean cake and meal also dropped, but not to the last year level.
From August to September this year, prices for sunflower meal fell to 20.7% (508 UAH/ton) to 1,942 UAH/ton, soybean meal lost 8.7% (450 UAH/ton) from the previous price. Sunflower cake fell by 28.5% (726 UAH/ton) to 1,824 UAH/ton, soybean cake — by 20.7% (1,057 UAH/ton) to 4,043 UAH/t.
