Live pigs price dynamics
The price decrease that had begun in August was lasting in November. Despite the slight price increase in the end of the month the average pig prices were lower than in October. In November the average price for meat type pigs decreased by 0.6% (0.1 UAH/kg) and was 17.8UAH/kg. The price for bacon type pigs decreased by 2.4% (0.4UAH/kg) and was 16.35UAH/kg. The average price for meat type pigs from the enterprises that are members of Ukrainian Association of Pig Producers decreased by 4.5%(0.9UAH/kg) and was 18.5%.

Comparing weeks, pig prices started to increase in the end of November. Anticipating New Year Holidays the meat processors increase prices. They want to increase production volume, as the consumption of meat products increases during New Year holidays.
Beginning from the 8th till the 23rd of November the price for meat type pigs increased by 1.3% (0.2UaAH/kg) and was 17.95UAH/kg. The price for bacon type pigs increased by 2% (0.2UAH/kg) and was 16.5 UAH/kg. The price for meat type pigs from the enterprises that are members of Ukrainian Association of Pig Producers increased by 1.2% (0.2UAH/kg) and was 18.6%.
