Live pigs price dynamics

Pork prices in Ukraine continue to rise. According to the date of processing companies the average price for meat type pigs was 19.1 UAH/kg in February which is 0.5% more(0.1UAH) more than it was one month ago. The demand for bacon type pigs was brisker. The price for bacon type pigs increased by 1.6% and was 17.45UAH/kg in February. The reduction of meat import and pig heard is the main reason for prices increase.

Beginning from the 21st of February till the 6th of March the price for meat type pigs increased by 1.5% (0.3UAH/kg) and was 20 UAH/kg; the price for bacon type pigs was unchanged (17.8 UAH/kg).
