Purchasing prices for pigs in live weight are falling down four weeks in a row.
According to processing plants the price for meat-sebaceous pigs ranges from 8 - 14 / kg in a live weight depending on a region.
Price per 1 kg live weight of meat type pigs is 13 - 16 UAH.
Such a prolonged fall in prices is explained by a demand decrease for meat among the population of Ukraine.
In comparison, in EU prices for slaughter pigs are growing . This is explained, by the way, by the growing demand and supply decrease.
