During the years of the independence of Ukraine the quantity of pigs decreased twice. There were 19.4 mln pigs in Ukraine when the independence was proclaimed. There are 8.3 mln pigs today.
Despite that fact that Ukrainians like pork and bacon an average Ukrainian eats 18 kg of pork per year. It is three times less thеn eats an average Dutchman.
