The pig heard increased in August

According to the date of State committee of statistics of Ukraine the pig heard increased by 1% in August in all enterprises of Ukraine in comparison with the previous month. But in comparison with all months of the current year the pig heard decreased by 4%.
As of the 1st of September the total pig heard is 8103.3 thousand pigs in all kinds of enterprises. 3515.7 thousands pigs are kept in agricultural enterprises; and 4582.6 thousand pigs are kept in private farms.
In August 2011 there were produced 37.3 thousand tons of live weight pigs; and there were slaughtered 31.8 thousand tons. In comparison with 2010 the production of slaughtered pigs increased by 10%; and sales for slaughters increased by 16.5%.
