Pork prices as of the 14th of October 2011

According to the date of the State Committee of Statistics the prices for pigs of the 1st and 2d category together with subsidies ware UAH17,969 per one ton as of the 14th of October. During one month the price rose up by 2%, and during the year the price rose up by 14%. The highest pig price was UAH21, 070 per one ton and it was in Luhansk region; the lowest pig price was 13,000 per one ton and it was in Ivano- Frankivsk region.
The wholesale prices for pigs of the 2d category increased by 3% during the month, and they increased by 11% during the year. As of the 14th of October the average prices for pork was UAH31.03 per kilo. The highest price was UAH36.30 and it was in Kyiv region, and the lowest price was UAH25.68 per kilo and it was in Crimea.
Retail price for pork of the 2d category increased by 4% during the last month and year and is UAH42.15 per kilo
