APK-Invest will increase by 100 000 pigs in 2012

The building of pig farm with the capacity of 100 thousand pigs per year has been lasting since April. The first batches of animals will be housed in new buildings by the end of November (breeding stock).
But for the sow unit the fourth complex will include 2 fattening units with the capacity of 50 thousand pigs per year each. The placement of the first animals for fattening (commercial heard) is planned for April 2012, and the full capacity of 400 000 pigs per year will be reached in autumn 2012. UAH350 mln is needed to implement the project. The investment value of the whole animal husbandry sector of the enterprise is UAH 2 5oo mln. The estimated capacity (600 thousand pigs per year) will be reached in 2015.
