Live pigs market: from the bottom to the top

The long-expected by producers and predicted by processers stabilizing has already happened. The rise on the live weight market started from the mid November. Planned prices’ range of the 47th week per pigs of the first category in the Central Ukraine will come to 22.5-25.5 UAH/kg, on the East prices will be 23-25 UAH/kg and in the western regions the price per kilo of live weight will balance within 23-24 UAH/kg.
As there is no certainty and consensus in mood of market players, it is difficult to predict how long this «thaw» will last. But its durability is shady.
