Live pigs market: the downward movements predominate

In the second half of January, the price decrease on live pig market continues. Therefore in the third decade the majority of households are planning to lower prices per live pigs of the first category by 20-50 kopec. However, some of them keep on the positions of previous week. Despite such price situation, the denials of previously ordered batches haven’t had the unit character. Under such conditions some producers hold back from sale.
That’s why on the 4th week low prices will be occurred in central regions, where the kilo of live pork will cost from 22.5 to 24 UAH/kg. In the West prices will hold the «Golden mean» (23-24 UAH/kg) and in eastern region prices will range from 23.5-24.5 UAH per kilo of live weight of the first category.
