Demis-Agro, Ltd is one of the biggest enterprises in Dnipropetrovsk region, which is specialized in pig production. In 2006, the enterprise was started by Eduard Demishev at the base of a former cattle farm of Pidhorodniy kolhoz. A year later the company, which had only 15ha of land, was enlarged due to buying of pig farm of Kotovske, CJSC (Lyubumivks village).
The farm uses the best technologies of intensive pig production and all the processes at the farm are organized according to the weekly cycle. Recourse-conscious technology of dry feeding is implemented at the farm. The farm doesn’t grow its own crops, so all the cereals for feeding are bought at Ukrainian markets and premixes are used of French production. For feeding of animals 100% combinated feed-stuffs are used, which are prepares accoding 5 rations, and starter feeds for sucking piglets are bought in Denmark, Poland and Germany.
The company uses French system of hybridization. From the very beginning artificial insemination is used. The farm has its own boars. In all the units optimal microclimate is provided. To provide appropriate temperature in the nursery and growers units boiler with solid fuel boilers was installed that run on organic waste.
The achievements of Demis-Agro, Ltd are known far beyond Dnipropetrovsk region, so guests who would like to acquire the experience, visit the farm quite often.
