Tarasovetska poultry farm, Ltd., (the director is Ihor Holiney) is located in Tarasivtsi village, Novoselytsi district. It is a vertically integrated company which but for pig productions has feed stuff production, poultry production a dairy farm with 120 milking cows, a ship farm, a slaughter house and processing plant.
The development of pig production began with purchasing of the poultry farm in Tarasivtsy in 2003 and the place for a pig farm was found on a huge territory of it.
The first batches of pigs were brought from Poland in 2004. The enterprise received a status of a breeding farm in rearing Landrace breeds. 600 sows and 9 000 commercial pigs are kept on the enterprise. The technology of loose housing of sows and individual feeding is combined on the enterprise. The electronic feeding stations Compident of Schauer company are used. Microclimate control systems were also bought in Schauer company.
The purchased feeds are made on the feed mill that belongs to Tarasovetska poultry farm, Ltd. The capacity of the feed mill which is 12 tons per hour fully satisfies the needs of the pig farm. The quality of the feed staff is checked in own laboratory.
The building of the sow insemination unit is among the nearest plans of the enterprise. The expansion of the farrowing unit up to 48 stalls is another important step.
The products of Tarasovetska poultry farm, Ltd. are sold on local markets and the trade name “Svizhenka” can be met in the retail chain of the capital called “Binmarket” and also in “Karavan” of Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi.
