Dynamic of slaughter pig prices (may 2011)

The general tendency to price upward movement was on the market since February, which slowed down in May. An average price of meat type pigs was 16.25 UAH/kg and the price of bacon type pigs was 14.50 UAH/kg.

Prices on slaughter pig market started to move downward. Decreased demand for meat which is typical for summer season, has negative impact on prices.
As of the 7th of June in comparison with May, 24 the meat type pigs price decreased by 0.25 UAH/kg (1,6%) and was 16UAH/kg. The bacon pigs price decreased by 0.20 UAH/kg(1,3%) and was 14.00UAH/kg
