In 2014 the agriholding «APK-INVEST» won over the pig farming «palm of victory»

According to the Analytical department of Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine, APK-INVEST is the strongest pig breeding company of the country in 2014. The company is the leader among 83 pig enterprises (according to the Rating of the most powerful pork producers of Ukraine — 2014). Herewith APK-INVEST had been holding the leading position in this rate for more than three years in a row.
A central estimation criterion of the rate was the size of sow herd of member companies. Artificially of December 31, 2014 the number of sows of APK-INVEST animal farm was more than 22 thous. heads. The common livestock of one-time housing was 280 thous. heads (incl. suckling piglets). The peculiarity of the index of 2014 is the biggest breakaway ever the livestock fixation in amount of animals at housing from the nearest rate competitor — more than 40%.
Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine is unprofitable, voluntary organization. The creation date is July 14, 2011. Now APPU joins 32 households, the sow herds of which compose 35% of nationwide capacities. The main objective of Association is to protect corporate rights and interests in the field of pigbreeding, to attain the worldwide standards of manufacturing owing to implementation of modern technologies.
It is a reminder that in April 2013 the APPU won the grant from the project of International Technical support «Agroinvest in Ukraine» that is financed by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), one of its tasks is to «Create the ongoing working groups under Ministry of Agrarian policy and Food for revision of current regulatory legal acts governing the pig breeding field in Ukraine. The duration of grant is 20 months (from 23.07.2013 to 23.03.2015)».
